This is one of my favourite posters of Shaastra 2011. The best part of this poster is that everything except that green bit of bush on the first matchstick, is self made (not googled). The other day when I was lighting an agarbatti, I noticed something which I never did before. The head of the half burnt matchstick which I dropped seemed to look like a small bush of black leaves. This triggered something in my mind which i do not usually get, an IDEA! My bro, Sargam quickly took a few shots of the partially burned matchstics with his new Canon IXUS 115 HS and I started tweeking them with my first love, Photoshop:) Then came the toughest part of finding 'just the right' bush for the matchstick. Googled through hundreds of images... Finally selected this one, although I wasn't fully satisfied. A little bit of 'warp' and 'transform' made the bush look almost perfect! Finally the Rewind and Wind buttons were made in Cinema 4d and with few more movements and resizing, the second "Environmental Awareness Poster" was ready.

One of my first few 3D renders in Cinema 4D. Very addictive..! Every piece was individually modeled and textured. Had to play around a lot with the lighting settings. Btw, can you guess where the knights are?;)

This one's for Saras...

Did you ever notice that the human hand actually resembles the body of a swan? This is dedicated to the Insti General elections, 2011 and the 10th wing of Saraswati Hostel.
